Description
Tudor Cottage and the attached barn are a house and barn combination dating from the 17th century, with a mid-19th century addition. The structure features a timber frame with plaster and 19th century gault brick that has been painted. The roofs are covered with plain tiles and slate. There is a red brick stack on the left gable of the cottage. The cottage is two storeys tall, while the barn is one storey with attics. The main range of the cottage has a mansard roof and a cross wing to the right that jetties and has a half hipped roof. In the angle of the building, there is a lean-to with an open porch and a round-headed arch leading to the main entrance, which features a 19th century four-flush panelled door. The cottage has two attic horizontal sliding sash windows and two similar windows on the ground floor. The 19th century barn to the left has a gabled facade with a hoist, a boarded door on the first floor, and a recessed hung sash window to the right. There is also a boarded door at ground level. A sawtooth brick eaves cornice and a band between the floors extend across the facade of the cottage.
