Description
Old Farm Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with later additions from the 17th century. It is constructed of timber framing with roughcast render and has plain tile roofs. The building features a red brick ridge stack and a 20th-century gable end stack on the right side. It is one storey high with an attic and has a three-unit lobby entry plan, along with an additional wing on the left side and a rear kitchen wing that includes a gable end stack.
The main entrance is located at the angle of the building and is sheltered by a lean-to porch. It has a 19th-century four-panelled door and two sixteen-paned hung sash windows with 19th-century panelled shutters to the right. There are also two dormer windows with casements. In the attic, there is a horizontal sliding sash window and a two-light casement window in the crosswing.
Inside, the farmhouse features exposed timber framing and floor frames, as well as a rear kitchen hearth that includes a baking oven. A fire insurance plaque can be found in the gable of the crosswing.
