Description

Hauxton Watermill is a bridge that crosses over the tail race of the mill stream, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of gault brick with some red brick elements, while the pier at the south end of the parapet features patterned red brickwork that may date back to the early 18th century. The bridge has a double span with two segmental arches, each with a raised key block. The parapet wall is of the same period as the bridge. This structure is included for its group value with the mill.
