Description

Whitehall Farmhouse is a cottage, probably built in the early 18th century and 19th century. It features timber framing that is cased in brick and rendered, topped with a reed thatch roof and an original stack. The building has a three-bay and lobby entry plan, along with a later kitchen wing. It is one storey high with an attic, and includes three gable dormers. A 20th-century porch is located at the front, flanked by recessed four-pane hung sashes. Inside, the room to the right was a sunken dairy, and there is an inglenook hearth with a lintel made of re-used timber. The main beam in the interior is stop-chamfered.
