Description

No. 69 High Street is a cottage that dates from the early 18th century, with later additions from the early 19th century and mid-20th century. It is constructed with a timber frame, rendered exterior, and clunch, topped with a reed thatch roof and a rebuilt ridge stack. The building is one storey high with an attic and features two dormers. On the left side, there is a bay that likely dates from the early 19th century. The exterior is rendered clunch, and the interior includes abutting hearths, both of which have been largely rebuilt, although the left-hand hearth is of early 18th-century origin. Inside, there are two tie beams and some remaining studwork from the original frame.
