Description

Farmhouse. Dating from the late 16th or early 17th century, it is constructed with timber framing and plaster, with some plastered brick sections. The roof is covered in plain tiles. The original three-room plan was extended by one bay to the south; a modern wing now exists at the rear. The ground floor has five windows of varying sizes, while the first floor has five, including four horizontal sliding sash windows. A modern entrance porch with a panelled door has been added. Inside, there are stop-chamfered cross beams and an ovolo-moulded parlour beam; the roof features side purlins and curved wind braces. The building is documented in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments, West Cambs Monograph, page 58.
