Description
Cross House is a house built around 1845, constructed from flint rubble with red brick used for the quoins, plinth, bands, and window dressings. The building features a double pile slated roof that is cross gabled on the left side. It has four red brick chimneys, each with paired octagonal shafts that have moulded caps and bases. The house is two storeys tall with a semi-basement, and the gable on the left side is slightly advanced. The bargeboard is studded and includes drop and apex finials. The main entrance is approached by steps leading to a six-panelled door. On the ground floor, there are two transomed casement windows with small panes, and on the first floor, there are three similar but smaller casement windows. There is also a blind two-light attic window. The house is included for its group value.
