Description

TL 4240 HEYDON FOWLMERE ROAD (South-West Side) 22/147 No. 1 (Cross House) GV II House. c.1845. Flint rubble, with red brick quoins, plinth, bands and window dressings. Double pile slated roof cross gabled to left hand. Four red brick shafts each with paired octagonal shafts with moulded claps and bases. Two storeys and semi basement. Gable to left hand slightly advanced. Studded bargeboard with drop and apex finials. Main entrance approach by steps with six-panelled door. Two ground floor transomed casement windows with small panes and three similar but smaller first floor casement windows; blind two-light attic window. Included for group value.
