Description

Chestnut Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage that was originally four separate dwellings. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure with red brick elements and a thatched roof, which has two ridge stacks. The entrance is a lean-to porch with a slated roof. The cottage is one storey with an attic, and it has a 20th-century panelled door. To the left of the entrance, there is one four-light casement window, and there are two casement dormer windows in the roof. Additionally, there is a projecting cross beam on the floor, which may have been inserted later.
