Description

Clunch House is a house and two cottages dating to circa 1840. The building is constructed of dressed clunch with slate roofs, featuring end stacks to the house and a shared stack for the cottages. The layout is an L-shape, with the cottage wing running parallel to the road and the main facade facing west. The house has a symmetrical facade with three twelve-pane hung sashes arranged within projecting flat arches. A central doorway is set within a round-headed arch, over which is a fanlight with glazing bars, and the door itself is panelled. The cottages have four casement windows and two boarded doors. The building is noted in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (West Cambs.).
