Description

Ivy Dene is a house dating to circa 1840. It is built with a clay bat roughcast rendered finish on a brick plinth, painted, and has a pyramidal slate roof with a central grey brick stack. The house is square in plan. It has two storeys and two twelve-pane hung sashes set in flat arches. A similar window is present at the ground floor, but with a segmental arch. A doorway is set within a reeded doorcase, topped with a narrow hood, and has a panelled door. The interior retains an original staircase. E Willmer’s Old Grantchester provides further context.
