Description

No. 59 on Chishill Road is an 18th-century cottage featuring a timber-framed and plastered exterior with a hipped thatched roof that has a central ridge stack. At the rear, there is a wing made of flint rubble. The cottage is two storeys tall and has a two-unit plan with a central stack. The entrance is a boarded door located on the left side, accompanied by two ground floor replacement casement windows that have leaded lights. On the first floor, there are two three-light 18th-century casement windows, also with leaded lights. Inside, the cottage has a sealed hearth, a winding staircase, and floor joists that span the width of the rooms.
