Description

The K6 telephone kiosk, designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, is a Grade II listed structure made of cast iron and painted red. It has a square plan and features a domed roof. The top panel has an unperforated crown above narrow rectangular panels that are opaque glazed and marked with the word "TELEPHONE." The windows and door have margin glazing.

This intact kiosk is located opposite Histon Baptist Church and Sunday School, which is also Grade II listed. It is situated next to a group of 17th to 19th century houses and cottages, several of which are listed, and is close to the listed war memorial. The kiosk is positioned on the parish boundary, falling within the parishes of Histon and Impington.
