Description

No. 56 is a cottage located on Church Street in Haslingfield. It dates from the early 19th century, with some mid-20th century additions at the rear. The cottage is timber-framed, with plaster rendering and clunch on a brick plinth. It features a long straw thatch roof and has a small grey gault brick ridge stack. The layout is a single range with a lobby entry plan. There are three flush frame horizontal sliding sash windows, and the doorway is located opposite the stack. The cottage is also noted on the 1804 Enclosure Award Map.
