Description

The Cottage is a house dating from the late 16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a red pantile roof. There is a red brick stack on the left side, which it shares with the adjacent property, No. 13. The building has two storeys and originally featured a lobby entry before it was subdivided around 1840. The main entrance is on the right side and has a 20th-century 'Tudor' panelled door. The doorway on the left side has been blocked and replaced with a 20th-century window, while there are two 19th-century windows, one of which is a shop window. On the first floor, there are two windows with glazing bars. Inside, the timber frame is exposed, and there is an original hearth.
