Description

No. 5 Ludlow Lane is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick, featuring a timber-framed rear wall and a steeply pitched thatched roof made of reed, with a grey brick ridge stack and smaller end stacks. The building is a single range with a lobby entry and stands two storeys tall. On both the first and ground floors, there are three recessed hung sashes, each with twelve panes, although one of the ground floor windows has been replaced with a 20th-century full-length casement. There are two similar doorways, both with round-headed arches and fanlights, which are now sealed, leading to six-panelled doors.
