Description
The Coach House and Stables to Stirtloe House is an early 18th-century building that features a hayloft and stands two storeys tall. It has a band between the floors and is constructed of red brick with a steeply pitched, hipped slate roof. The original windows are wooden framed, lattice light casements set in flat arches. There is a 19th-century double entry for coaches with a wide segmental arched head. The building also includes two stable doors with rectangular fanlights.
Attached to the main structure is a lower range of stables, also made of red brick, topped with a hipped plain tile roof that has a saw-tooth brick eaves cornice. This section has five modern dormer windows, two modern casement windows, and one large 19th-century hung sash window with glazing bars. Additionally, there are three original plank doors with flat or segmental arches.
