Description

The garden wall of Number 2, dating from the 16th century, measures approximately 30 feet long and 7 feet high, with a plinth above that rises to 3 feet on the road side. It features a band of red tiles beneath the plinth coping stones and a corbelled red brick cornice. The bricks are arranged in horizontal courses but set diagonally to the face of the wall, which is capped by a pyramidal rubble blocking course. The wall is about 2 feet thick and is a notable example of Tudor stone walling.
