Description

2 Old Courthall is a building in Godmanchester, likely dating from the early 17th century. It is a timber-framed structure that underwent alterations in the 19th century. The building has two storeys and features two windows on the front. The front is covered with rough plaster, while the south elevation reveals the exposed timber framing with plaster infilling. The first floor of the street-facing side extends out over a bressummer that is decorated with a design of quatrefoils, added in the 19th century. The gable above has scalloped bargeboards. The roof is tiled and has a central brick chimney stack with four shafts. The windows are restored casements with two and three lights, and there are two doors leading to the street.
