Description

This is a mid-18th century house with a later, 19th-century addition to the west. The house is constructed of local brick and has a plain tiled roof with tumbled gable ends. Brick stacks are located at the ends of the building. The main part of the house is two storeys high, with an attic space containing three hipped dormers, each with a horizontal sliding sash window. A band course runs between the two storeys. The ground floor features a range of three hung sashes with glazing bars, topped by flat, red brick arches. Two 19th-century tripartite hung sash windows flank the central doorway, which has a moulded architrave with a pulvinated frieze and a modern cornice. The front door consists of six fielded panels.

Inside, the original open string staircase has three flights, with 19th-century balusters and an 18th-century handrail. An adjoining brick addition dating to the 19th century is located to the west, and is also tiled. It has three hung sashes with glazing bars. A doorway within the addition has a moulded architrave, pulvinated frieze and modern cornice, leading to a panelled door with two glazed lights.
