Description

The Thatched Cottage is an early 17th century cottage located on Bury High Street, featuring a gable end facing the road. The building consists of two bays and a fire bay, constructed with a timber frame and topped with a thatched half-hipped roof, which includes a ridge stack. It has two storeys and an attic, with two late 18th century or early 19th century hung sash windows and two modern windows on the gable end. Inside, the cottage showcases a moulded main beam in the room and thickened jowls on the posts.
