Description

This is a late 18th century house located on the south side of High Street in Somersham, with later additions to the rear forming an L-shaped plan. The house is constructed of gault brick and has a plain tiled mansard roof with tumbled parapet gable ends and end stacks. It is two storeys high with an attic, containing three flat-roofed dormers with hung sash windows. The symmetrical front elevation features a three-window range of hung sash windows with central glazing bars set within segmental headed arches. Two similar windows flank the central doorway, which has a doorcase of reeded pilasters, a plain entablature, and a flat canopy supported on carved scroll brackets.
