Description

No. 2 The Causeway is a building dating from around 1840, constructed of yellow brick. It stands two storeys tall and features three sash windows with glazing bars above an original shopfront that includes pilasters and an entablature, although the windows have been replaced with modern plate glass. The building has a hipped slate roof and holds an important position within the area, contributing to the group value of the surrounding structures. Notably, it retains original inscribed fingerposts on its sides, indicating directions to London, Huntingdon, and Cambridge.
