Description

Nos 6 and 7 on Post Street in Godmanchester are two houses that date from the 18th century, although they are likely built on a 17th-century structure. These timber-framed and rendered houses are two storeys high and each has two windows. No 6 features 19th-century shop windows with dentil cornices on either side of a central panelled door that has a pedimented surround, with sliding sashes above. No 7 has sash windows with glazing bars, except for a small late 19th-century shop window that now has plate glass, and a plain door. The houses have a tiled roof with brick stacks.
