Description

No. 8 Post Street is a mid-19th century building located in Godmanchester. It is constructed of gault brick with stone dressings, featuring a band at both the first floor and parapet level. The building has three storeys and three windows, which are sashes set in keyed architraves. To the left of the facade is a doorway with a six-panel door that is partially glazed, flanked by panelled pilasters and topped with a bracketed hood. The building has a parapet and a tiled roof with brick end stacks. At the rear, there is an older wing, likely from the 18th century, which may be timber-framed and has sashes with glazing bars. This wing features a mansard tiled roof with a brick stack. The building is included for its group value.
