Description

No. 7 Cage Lane is a mid-18th century pair of semi-detached cottages that have been combined into one dwelling. Each original cottage has one bay and is constructed with a timber frame and rendered exterior. The roof is thatched and features a ridge stack. The building is one storey high with attics, and there is one later gabled dormer added. Each cottage originally had one horizontal sliding sash window and one doorway, but the doorways are now blocked. Access to the property is through a modern brick addition on the south side. Inside, there is an early 19th century staircase serving each cottage.
