Description
The Old Rectory is a mid-18th century or earlier house located on Rectory Lane in Wyton. It features a main range with cross-wings to the east and west, constructed of gault brick, some of which is colour-washed. The building has a modern tile roof with a parapet and a dentil eaves cornice, along with tumbled brickwork and kneelers at the gable ends. It is two storeys tall with attics and has a band between the floors. Each gable end has one horizontal sliding sash window with glazing bars in the attic storey. The first floor has a range of four hung sash windows with side lights, while the ground floor features paired full-length similar sashes with slender glazing bars set in cambered arches. There is a 19th-century central boric portico with a triangular pediment and a slate roof, along with 19th-century panelled double doors. To the right, there is a 19th-century service wall with blind panelling.
