Description
The Grange is an 18th-century red brick farmhouse with five bays and two storeys. It features a low-pitch slate roof that was rebuilt in the 19th century after a fire, with end stacks and a rear stack. There is a brick plinth and a band between the floors. The first floor has five hung sash windows with glazing bars in flush frames, each with segmental brick arches. The ground floor has four similar windows and a central doorway topped by an original flat canopy on shaped brackets. Above the four-panelled door is a rectangular fanlight. There is a late 19th-century extension made of gault brick with a slate roof. Inside, the farmhouse includes a large kitchen hearth and a panelled room to the south, along with a 19th-century staircase.
