Description
Hazel Cottage is a late 16th-century cottage featuring a three-unit plan and a lean-to at the rear. It has one storey and an attic, with a roughcast render applied to its timber frame. The roof is half-hipped and thatched, with a ridge stack and a later 19th-century or later end stack on the west side. The cottage includes one horizontal sliding sash dormer window with glazing bars, along with three similar ground floor windows that have moulded wooden frames. The entrance is marked by a panelled door. Inside, the cottage has restored inglenook hearths, stop-chamfered ceiling beams, and an original corner staircase.
