Description
Park Farmhouse is a late 18th century or early 19th century farmhouse located to the south of the church and within a moated site. It features a double pile plan, is two storeys high with a semi-basement and dormers, and has a double-fronted design with three windows. At the south end, there is a slightly later one and a half-storey service wing. The farmhouse has a slate roof with gable stacks and a panelled boxed gutter. It is constructed from gault brick, with pilaster strips on the quoins and a slightly recessed central bay. The building displays a simplified Doric frieze and has gauged flat brick arches over recessed sash windows that include side lights and glazing bars. The ground floor features segmental arched windows with plastered tympanum. There are also windows at the rear and in the extension that have arched Gothic lights, along with flat-headed dormers. A mid-19th century gabled porch has been added, which includes a half-glazed door with side lights. This farmhouse stands on the site of a house that was formerly owned by the Bishops of Ely.
