Description
Nos 23 to 26 on High Street are 18th-century buildings, with No 24 having been largely rebuilt. No 23 is painted red brick, while the others are red brick as well. The buildings are two storeys high, with Nos 25 and 26 featuring attics. They have a window arrangement of 2:1:2:3:1, consisting of sashes and casements above modern shopfronts. The roofs are covered with old tiles, except for No 24, which has a central brick stack shared by Nos 22 and 23, and another for Nos 25 and 26. No 25 has two flat-topped dormers, while No 26 has one gabled dormer. Originally, Nos 22 to 24 were built together and may have an older core. There is exposed timber framing in the entry between Nos 24 and 25, likely dating from the 16th century.
