Description
Castle Hill House is a Grade II* listed building located on High Street in Huntingdon, dating back to 1787. It is constructed of gault brick and features a first-floor band. The house has two storeys, an attic, and a basement, with five sash windows that include glazing bars. The central entrance consists of double panelled doors topped by a plain fanlight, framed by a Corinthian half-column surround. Above this, there is an entablature with a frieze decorated with swags, a dentilled cornice, and a pediment. The eaves cornice is supported by modillions, and there is a parapet along the roof. The roof itself is a modern slate hipped mansard, which includes five flat-topped dormers and brick end stacks. There is an area balustrade, and an arched window can be found on the north side, with a similar balanced garden front.
