Description
Holmefields is a late 18th century farmhouse that features two storeys and attics, designed in an L-shape. The building is constructed of colour-washed gault brick and topped with a thatched roof, which has tumbled parapet gables and end stacks. It includes two dormer windows and a central panelled door, framed by a doorcase with reeded pilasters and a pseudo entablature. On either side of the door are hung sash windows with glazing bars, along with three similar windows on the ground floor made of flint. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing with a half-hipped roof. To the south, there is a 19th century brick and pantile stable. Holmefields was the home of Coxe Feary, born in 1759, who was a co-founder of the original Meeting House in Bluntisham.
