Description

No 36 on High Street is a late 18th-century house that was re-roofed and refronted in the 19th century. It is constructed of gault brick and features a pantile roof with end stacks. The building is two storeys tall and has a central door. The doorcase is adorned with reeded pilasters, a plain frieze, and a shaped cornice. On either side of the door are two hung sash windows with glazing bars and two panelled shutters, all set in gauged red brick arches. The first floor also has two similar sash windows. There is a red brick band that runs between the floors. At the north end of the building, there is a two-storey rear wing and a single-storey bakehouse.
