Description

Nos. 3 and 5 High Street is a cottage dating from 1750, as indicated by the date carved on the lintel above the inglenook fireplace. The building is timber framed and cased in brick, with an additional bay added to the south in the 19th century. It features a steeply pitched roof covered with pantiles, which was originally thatched. There is a ridge stack and an end stack to the south. The cottage has one storey and attics, with two gabled dormers that contain casement windows. The two modern windows have segmental arches above them, and there are two later thatched porches.
