Description
Rectory Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse with a half H-plan layout, standing two storeys tall. It is constructed of painted, soft red brick and features plain tile hipped roofs, with one internal stack and side stacks on the east and west wings. The building has three hung sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor and two hung sashes with glazing bars at the ground floor in the wings. A central doorway is supported by two slender columns and features a plain canopy with soffit panels, along with a moulded wooden architrave and a panelled door. Inside, there is a very fine 15th-century floor frame, possibly added to the south wing, with cross-beams and joists that are decorated with embattled designs and hollow chamfers with mitre stops.
