Description

Nos. 21 and 23 The Town are an early 18th century pair of cottages. They are two storeys tall, constructed of local red brick, and feature a plain tile hipped roof with two symmetrically positioned ridge stacks. The cottages have a dentil brick eaves cornice. On the first floor, there are four horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars, wooden lintels, and two blind windows. The ground floor has four horizontal sliding sash windows set in segmental arches. There is one plank door and one modern panelled door, both adorned with 19th century shaped bracketed canopies. A band runs between the floors.
