Description

This chest tomb, located about ten yards south of the south aisle at the Church of St Wendreda, dates from the late 18th century. It is made of limestone and features a rectangular shape with a shaped top and a plinth. The sides and ends are adorned with bas relief carvings, which include a motif in the spandrels and Roman Doric columns at the corners. The lettering on the tomb is indecipherable.
