Description

This barn, located at the rear of numbers 29 and 31 on Knights End Road in March, dates from around 1700 and the early 19th century. It is constructed of soft red brick in English bond, with early 19th-century gault brick used for the upper courses of the gable ends. The barn features a steeply pitched parapetted roof supported by kneelers, which was originally thatched but is now covered with asbestos. The original cartway entry remains intact. Inside, the roof has been mainly rebuilt in the 19th century.
