GV II*

Early C18 house originally three storeys with service basement raised to four storeys c.1820-1840. Local brown brick with red brick quoins and window jambs. Slate roof with end stacks. Shallow parapet with stone copings. Four 'bays'. Four, third floor six-paned hung sash widows in red gauged brick arches and stone cills. First and second floor windows similar with twelve-panes. Two segmental bay windows to west of entrance and one twelve-pane window to east. Bands between floors. Wooden Doric doorcase with enriched triangular pediment; eight-panelled door Stone steps with railings to forecourt and entry to basement. Interior has very fine late C18 chimney piece to left hand ground floor room, and two good second floor doorcases; some original doors and panelling.
