Description
The toll house, built around 1860, is a single-storey structure with an octagonal plan. It features carstone walls with gault brick rustication at the corners. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, topped by a central octagonal chimney stack. Each wall has one hung sash window with a single central glazing bar. The doorway is located on the west side. This building was used for collecting tolls from drovers along the banks of Mortons Leam.
