Description

This is a house, dating to 1735. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a plinth and a concrete tile roof. The roof has parapet gables and a limestone saw tooth eaves cornice. Brick chimney stacks are visible on the ridge and at the ends. The house is two storeys high. A brick plat band runs between the storeys. The first floor has three hung sash windows with raised sills. Two stone steps lead to the front door, which is opposite a chimney stack. There is a blocked ground floor window with a segmental arch; two other ground floor windows have hung sashes with a central glazing bar. The brickwork is dated "1735" to the front wall at eaves height. A rear wing, also from the early 18th century, is constructed of red brick with a pantiled roof, and has one storey and an attic. Inside the rear wing, a cupboard has raised and fielded panelled doors. The front range was remodelled internally in the early 19th century.
