Description

This is a house dating from the late 17th to early 18th century. The exterior is red brick, now covered with a cement render, and sits on a visible plinth. The original roof has been replaced with interlocking tiles, and the gables are parapetted with flush end stacks and a ridge stack, the latter partly rebuilt. The two-storey house has four 19th-century twelve-pane sash windows on the upper floor, and three similar windows on the ground floor, each with a cambered arch. The doorway features an early 19th-century doorcase with a moulded architrave and cornice, topped with a narrow hood, and panelled reveals. A section of the rear wall has been rebuilt.

Inside, few original features remain, apart from opposing front and rear doorways, and a renewed stick baluster staircase. A ground floor room at the south end contains an exposed soft red brick partition wall and a main beam with ovolo moulding, indicating a late 17th-century date. The remaining beams are boxed in.
