Description
This is a late 18th-century undershot water mill located on Lode Mill Road. It has been restored in the 20th century and is currently a working water mill. The structure is timber-framed, featuring 20th-century cladding over the original weatherboarding, and has a plain tile roof. The building stands three storeys high and includes a lift with a lucam. Inside, most of the wooden mill machinery was replaced in 1868 by the firm of W Rawlings, whose name is cast on a plate attached to the cast-iron upright shaft.
