Description

The Rising Sun Public House is an early 17th-century timber-framed and rendered cottage, originally of two bays, with a later 17th-century extension to the right. An 18th-century clunch brewhouse was also built on the site. The building has undergone extensive alterations in the 20th century. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with 20th-century tiles, and features an original ridge stack constructed from red brick. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, and has three dormers. It has three windows, all shuttered, including one with a sixteen-pane hung sash.
