Description

TRUMPINGTON STREET 1. 942 (West Side) Nos 1 to 7 (consec) (St Peter's Terrace) TL 4557 NW 10/206A II 2. Circa 1850. Gault brick, part faced with rusticated stucco, stone dressings. 3 storeys and basements, with attics to end houses only. Symmetrical frontage of 21 bays to block, 2 bays each except the first, 4th and 7th houses which have 3, also open Tuscan porches, the central one with an enclosed upper storey. Sash windows with glazing bars, the first floor windows have pedimented heads and cast-iron balconies. Panelled doors with fanlights over. Cornice and parapet. Slate roofs, not visible. Cast-iron spear-head area railings. (RCHM 239).
