TRUMPINGTON STREET (See details for further address information)

Nos 1 to 7 (St Peter's Terrace) on Trumpington Street date from around 1850. The buildings are constructed of gault brick, with some sections faced in rusticated stucco and stone dressings. They rise three stories with basements, and only the end houses have attics. The symmetrical frontage consists of 21 bays, with most houses having 2 bays, while the first, fourth, and seventh houses feature 3 bays. Each house has open Tuscan porches, and the central porch includes an enclosed upper storey. The sash windows have glazing bars, and the first-floor windows are topped with pedimented heads and supported by cast-iron balconies. The entrances have panelled doors with fanlights above. A cornice and parapet complete the design, and while the slate roofs are not visible, there are cast-iron spear-head area railings.
