Description

The Tomb of Hermann Bernard at Mill Road Cemetery is a monument dating from around 1857. It features an obelisk with four moulded stone pylons or bollards at its corners, each topped with a pyramidal shape. Near the base of the obelisk, there is an inscription dedicated to Hermann Bernard, who died in 1857. He was a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Ciessen in Hesse Darmstadt and served as a Hebrew teacher at the University of Cambridge for many years.
