Description
No 12 on St John's Street is a mid to late 19th-century building constructed of grey gault brick. It stands four storeys tall and features three windows, with only two on the third floor, all of which are sash windows. The building has a 19th-century shopfront and is adorned with Corinthian pilasters at each corner. Above the upper windows, there are roundels with plaster heads in the tympanum and between the windows. The eaves cornice is modern, and the roof is covered with slate. This building, along with Nos 11 to 17 and Nos 63 to 65 on Bridge Street, forms an important group, particularly as it closes Bridge Street to the south.
