MARKET HILL 1. 942 TL 4458 NE 3/683 No 15 II GV House and shop, now shop and workshop. c. 1840. Flemish bond brick; slate mansard roof. 4 storeys, with 2 window range to Market Hill and 3 window range to Rose Crescent; 3 storey, 2 window range to rear of Rose Crescent elevation, continued as terrace row forming Nos 1 - 11 (consec) Rose Crescent (q.v). Mid C19 wood cornice and blocking course over mid C20 shop front. Flat gauged brick arches over 12 pane sashes. Rounded corner to front facing Market Hill, which has scrolled brackets supporting plain wrought-iron balcony to first-floor French windows set in moulded and pedimented stone architraves; late C19 four-pane second-floor sashes set in similar architraves with scroll-brackets to cornice; flat gauged brick arches over similar third floor sashes. Moulded stone cornices. Interior has no features of interest. Included for group value.
