Description
No. 26 Millington Road is a house built in 1934 by Marshall Sisson for Professor A.J.B. Wace. It features whitewashed rendered brick and flat roofs, some of which are parapeted, creating a terrace with a pergola. The house is designed in the International Modern style and includes several porthole windows as a distinctive feature. It is two storeys tall, with a three-storey section at the rear. The front has a five-window arrangement of casement windows, organized in groups of three and two. Similar casements are found on the side elevations, which also include doors. On the right side, there is a simple porte cochere with a staircase bay that projects behind it. The rear of the house is one storey higher and has a similar row of casements on the second floor. An integral garage on the right side of the front projects forward. Inside, the property remains remarkably unaltered, retaining its original staircase, doors, austere stone fireplaces, and light fittings.
