Description

The building is a former Police Station, constructed in 1901 by John Morley, designed in the style of G G Scott the younger’s New Building at Pembroke of 1883. It is faced with ashlar and extends to three storeys and attics, with a five-bay arrangement. The ground floor features a central doorway, accompanied by two-light mullion and transom windows on the right-hand side. The left-hand bays have been altered to create a garage entrance. All original window openings exhibit Gibbs surrounds. The first floor has two-light mullion windows above windows of two lights with mullion and transom. All windows are leaded lattice casements. A five-light window with three transoms is positioned above the doorway. The attic storey has pedimented and Venetian gabled dormers, with balustrades situated between them. The roof is covered with slate.
